Chile Hit By Strong Quake

Chile has been hit by massive 8.8 magnitude earth quake in the South Coast of the country. The after effect was observed in several cities.

This quake is much more stronger than that which hit Haiti this year.

Nearly 80 people has been reported to be killed and evacuation of people is still on the process at the Easter Island where it is expected that it may be hit by the generated Tsunami within a short time from now.

Probably more casualties might be reported later as still people are in great panic.

City of concepcion which is 115 km away from the epicenter has also been hit hard.

Santiago, the capital city of Chile was shaken violently for about 8 - 9 seconds leaving some damages to buildings, electricity was also affected and it went off.

Airports are temporarily closed.

There is a fear that Tsunami generated might affect New Zealand and Australia.

Chinese Remedies Really Work!!

There has been a fleet of chinese remedies alleged to increase "bulkiness" to selected parts of the body. I am not sure about their long term effect to the users.

England Football Team in Tabloid Situation

Wayne Bridge has decided to pull out of England National Team squad for all tournaments including this year world cup in South Africa.

Wayne Bridge who is now playing with Manchester City, was a former team mate and very close friend of Chelsea's captain John Terry before Terry broke the bridge by having an affair with Wayne's former girl friend to whom they had a child.

This event made the England coach to denounce John Terry as England team captain probably to save the sinking ship.

It has been a disappointing news for Fabio. On his statement on thursday this week he said that he respects Wayne Bridge decision, but the door is still open for Bridge to re-join the team.
Other former England key players like Ian Wright also have expressed their shocking perception for Bridge's decision especially at this time where the world cup kick-off is about to start in 3 months time.

Another England key defender Ashley Cole, also has a problem with his marriage which now is heading towards divorce after Cole's extra-marrital affair. Cole is said to be devastated and try to resolve the problem and blames mother in law to whom she moved to their mansion about 2 years ago to be the cause of all these fracas.

Grand Apology to USA from Toyota

It is known that in recent days, the greatest car makers in the world, the giant TOYOTA company of Japan suffered a big blow when its hybrid, prius, etios and prado diesel cars were found to have big defect on accelerator system. This made a thousnda of cars to be returned to Japan for overhauling and make the necessary changes.

Mr Akio Toyoda, the Toyota company chief who is also the grandson of Toyota company founder, speaking in Washington, he extends his apology to the families in US who lost their life due to huge deficit on their cars.

This measure was done to brush up the trade relationship between Japan and US so that to rebuild confidence between US consumers and car Makers in Japan.

There are still many questions regarding the defect in these cars, because no official statement has been given about the progress of defect repair.

Nigeria: Acting President Still in Power

Nigerian president Umaru Yar'Adua (in photo above) is back in Nigeria after being in extended treatment in Saudi Arabia since late November last year.

Due to long illness, the Nigerian senate had to appoint his vice to head the state.

Following his silent return, President Umaru has decided to continue with a sick leave while his vice Mr Goodluck continues to run the state.

It is not clear when President Umaru will return to work or is on his retirement.

Mashambulizi ya Mabomu Kigali

Jana jioni Katikati ya mji wa Kigali kulitokea tukio la watu kurusha mabomu ya mkono na kusababisha mtafaruku katika kituo cha mabasi yanayotoa huduma mjini.

Muda yaliyotupwa na kulipuka, kwa kawaida huwa na msongamano wa watu wengi sehemu hiyo wakitokea kazini kuelekea nyumbani.

Inasemekana kuna watu wawili waliokufa papohapo na wengine kadhaa kujeruhiwa na kupelekwa kwenye hospitali kuu ya Kigali kwa matibabu.

Bado wahusika halisi hawajajulikana isipokuwa inahisiwa ni wapiganaji waasi huenda ndio wakawa wamehusika.

Suicide Plane Crash in Texas

Joseph Stack, a 53 years old man and computer software engineer who was said to be troubled by Internal Revenue Service (IRS) which is a US Tax agency. He opted to commit suicide yesterday shortly after he sent a message in his website to express his troubled mind with IRS which he referred them as thugs and other sorts of accusations, and later on after some hours, he set fire to his house before leaving the house and heading to Georgia airport.Photo above: Joseph Stack's home

Mr Stack who owned a single engine aircraft, used it to fulfill his mission by deliberately crashed himself to the US tax building where the IRS office are located.

At Georgetown airport, where he started his last journey, he didn't fill the flight plan. On his cruise he flew in a low range but permitted where you can fly without communicating to the control towers.

Some eyewitness saw a small aircraft with only a single pilot crashed into the building.

It has been said 3 people have died at the incident including the pilot.

No much details is available.

According to MSNBC, several other people were treated at the scene and 2 had to be rushed to hospital with critical injuries.

When a Footballer Receive 4 red cards in One Game!

This is interesting story!!

Ricky Broadley of Mountain Rangers received the cards in the course of a Caernarfon district league cup match against Penrhyndeudraeth.

He was sent off for stamping on an opponent in the course of a 64th minute brawl on the pitch as his side trailed 2-0.

Second red card he got by arguing with the referee,

The third by throwing water over the referee,

The fourth by confronting the same referee angrily in the clubhouse following the match.

This player has been banned to participate in football activities for 2 years.

Congo D.R. Prisoners Hold Captives, Local Community hold Prisoners

This is only possible in Congo - Kinshasa

The fight erupted between prisoners and local population near Kisangani following local community to do fishing at a river which courses near one prison in Eastern Congo.

The fight erupted when the local community were caught fishing on the river claimed to belong to the nearby prison. Fishing activities in that river usually is done by women.

Noises alerted member of the community forcing them to go to the scene to defend their fellow villagers which provoked prisoners too to swarm the area to protect their fellow prisoners. At the end of the day 2 pregnant women and 5 children were held by prisoners as captives in the prison and 2 prisoners were held as captives too by the local community.

Local government authorities have urged prisoners officers to ensure protection of the captives in the prison and calls for reconcilliation to releases all captives from each side safely!!

Confirmation of this saga has not been done by relevant authorities, but it is a fact!

Haitian Pulled Alive Out of rubbles After 4 weeks

Evans might be the last miraculous man to be pulled out alive from rubble following Haiti quake, and probably the longest man to survive in rubble after the quake.

He was pulled alive from the market rubble 27 dys after the quake. He racalls that he had just finished to sell his rice when quake occured, and over sudden he was struck within the destroyed market.

He further recalls that he was near the food and drink vendors' selling place when the incident occured.

He managed to survive by drinking the juice and fruits from the scene, as he was not injuried by the quake, but he could not manage to come out.

Doctors in the hospital where he was taken have said his vital tests are all in good working state, except Evans was suffering from severe dehydration and malnutrition.

He is still on treatment

Last month when I visited Burundi, I found this young boy in deep sleep at around mid day.

He covered his eyes probably to make himself comfortable from the strong sunlight, so that he can have a phantom night while it was bright sun-shined day.

Hali kama hii katika nchi nyingi za Kiafrika ni ya kawaida, lakini jamii zimekuwa bize na masuala binafsi hasa yahusuyo vita na manufaa binafsi.

Nigeria: Has a New Acting Head of State

At last... Nigerian Parliament has endorsed Mr. Goodluck Jonathan (above photo), who was a vice president to take over presidential office duties and commander in chief of Nigerian forces after prolonged illness of the incumbent president of Federal Republic of Nigeria Umaru Yar'Adua who is still in Saudi Arabia since November 2009 where he went there for heart treatment.

There was under the carpet fracas following his absence, and uncertainity of his coming back and at one time rumours that he was dead triggers some fear of chaotic moves especially at oil-rich Delta area.

In recent days, some members of parliament went to Saudi Arabia to visit his excellency Nigerian President. No clear information has been given on his ill-health status.

Body Found in Delta Airlines Aircraft

A body of a man was recovered from the landing gear from Delta aircraft travelling from New York to Tokyo.

The body was discovered by maintanance worker in the landing gear storage compartment which usually has a room enough to fit a human being.
Japanese airport police said that there were no any injury to the body except some traces of frostbite suspected to occurs while the aircraft was airborne

There were no any identification or baggage with the body, therefore Japanese authorities has appealed before US authorities to assist in identification.

This is not the first time people to be found dead in the landing gear compartment in particular to the stowaways. Lack of oxygen and freezing temperatures are the main causes of deaths to "such mode of travelling"

My question is ..... how does these people manage to board unnoticed!!

Wikend iliyopita nilienda Dar Kusalimia ndugu jamaa na marafiki. Muhimu kuliko yote ilikuwa kusalimia familia.

Wakati naondoka nilipewa zawadi ya keki i kiwa kwenye vipande vidogovidogo na ikiwa imefungwa kwa unadhifu kabisa.

Nilipofika Mtaani kwangu huku, niliitoa, kwa mshangao nilikuta imeandikwa tarehe ya mwisho wa matumizi kuwa ni 31 Februari 2010. Nasema nimeshangaa kwa sababu najua mwezi wa Februari huwa ni mfupi, ukizidi sana unakuwa na siku 29. Na kamwe hauna tarehe 30 au 31!

Pamoja na kuwa keki hizi zilikuwa nzuri sana, lakini zinaweza kumtia wasiwasi mlaji kwa kutokuwa na imani ya ubora au mtengenezaji.

Wanasema kwenye masuala ya misosi hakuna dogo...

Kenya: Beware of Nutty Boys!!

It was reported today that in Rift Valley area,Kenya. A 14 years old girl was killed by a hand grenade when she was given as a gift to take to her mother, and she was instructed to put it at her mother's belongings.

But the curious girl decided to open and see what was inside in the wrapped "gift" shortly after she left the "good and cheerful giver". What followed was a big BOOOOOOM, and she was wounded badly and died later.

It was said that her brother gave her that hand grenade as a gift to the mother. But earlier, the brother had a quarel with the mother, therefore he decided to finish the fight in that way. But very sad, the innocent girl was killed.

The boy is now under police custody for investigations!

Umh! Life is so cheap in some areas in Kenya!!!
