Nigeria lost to Ghana in African cup Championship Tournament

Dont Make Yourself Idiot. Think First......

Today, I remembered events which made me laughs out of anger!!

15 years ago when mobile phones were not popular in my locality I went to one of the famous telephone company to report frequent cut on my land line telephone.
I was tired to fill request forms and I had to be open on my critics.
The officer was very keen and asked me my number. I gave him with nasty look and he recorded it.

With sympathy and concern, he promised to call me when he had a technician available!!

I was looking for an imaginary hammer to fix the lost nut in his brain, that made me laugh at him. He was puzzled by my immediate change of mood. I will not say what I curse him in my brain

This also remind me back in school in one of the rainy days where our class teacher asked us to leave the classroom during the break time and locked himself in the class. I was bitter because I wanted to stay in the classroom to chew my nice bun I kept from home and read a religious book I borrowed from my neighbour at home.

After the break, we went back and found our teacher still locked himself while marking some scripts. He came to open the door for us, but he did not produce the key, and he asked us if anybody has taken the key!!!
We end up with loud whispering, it look like ..... were saying IDIOT, but I could not get it well, because I was smilling!

Bujumbura at a Glance

Bujumbura, the capital city of Burundi, is rather small, cheaper and peaceful.

Wabongo mpoooo. Mpaka mtangaziwe eeeh!
Enjoy your weekend!!!

USA: Made the Haiti Quake?!

I receive a circulating email, probably originate from one of Middle East countries claiming that the Haiti quake is a man made activities.

They accuse USA to be behind it. They further claim that this was one of the major failure in weapon testing which was intended to attack Iran!

They gave a lot of evidences regarding some previous quakes which were man-made, they further claims that those man made quakes caused serious disasters!

Violence Building up in Haiti

Despite big problem facing Haiti after quake tragedy, some youth gangs have taken this situation as an advantage to loot shops and loots. They have been seen along streets of the capitl city of Haiti carrying with them machettes and invade stores and take anything they are able to carry.
This situation may hamper humanitarian aid from different countries.
So far, more than 40,000 bodies have been buried, and over 100,000 feared dead.
People crying for help can be heard within debris of houses in different area. But little is done to help them due to scarcity of rescue equpments.
A big number of Haiti people fled to neighbouring country - Dominica.

Haiti and Quake

World's Youngest Mother in Our Records

Photo above is Dr Geraldo Lozado, Lina Medina and her son Gerardo

Probably this is the most conflicting information....

Reality has to be reality. 5 years old peruvian child, Lina Medina was declared to the youngest mother in the world. She delivered a baby boy by caesarean section on 14 th May 1939 at Pisco Hospital. The boy was named Gerardo after the attending doctor.

Her parents noted that her tummy was increasing and thought probably was an abdominal tumour. She was sent to the doctor and was confirmed to be pregnant!

The father of Lina was jailed for short time in relation to Lina's pregnancy but was released later due to lack of evidence.
Interestingly, Lina was said to have normal and regular periods since the age of 3 years which disapper nearly 8 months before was discovered to be nearly full term pregnant.

Her ovarian biopsy taken during caesarean section was tested in

Her son Gerardo, came to realise that Lina was his mother when he was 10 years old, initially he thought Lina was his sister.

Surprises of African Football Championship in Angola

Many surprises in African Football championship at Angola.
Two of the three matches played had produced 11 goals.
Angola could not hold 4 - 0 leading up from 80th minutes where Mali faught back and equilizes at the last 30 seconds of extra time
Algeria was beaten 3 - 0 by Malawi, which came as surprise to many people.
Ivory Coast was held at nil-nil scoring with Burkina Faso. Ivorians had a good memmory of thrashing Burkinabe 5 - 0 in qualifying stage.
We expect more surprises as predicted by Didier Drigba when he was talking to SKY Television and Deutshe Welle after they won 1 - 0 to Tanzania at a very difficult and competitive game.
I predict that the winner might come from non World Cup qualified teams. As most of the world cup qualified teams will conserve their energy for the World Cup in South Africa.

Ombaomba Wanapohamishia Ofisi Kanisani!

Dar es Salaam, My City

Dar es Salaam (Peace of Haven) is the commercial city of Tanzania.
The weather is usually warm to hot. Temperatures peaks in January - February averaging 30'c during the day.
It is one of the fast-growing city in Africa, but a lot are yet to be done.

Julius Nyerere international airport is within the city which soon will be under expansion project due to increased air traffic.

New National stadium ( Uwanja wa Taifa) is among the most beatiful stadium in Africa with a capacity of 60,000

It has beatiful beaches with white sands especially at Kigamboni area.
Whenever I land at Dar, I usually feel a tricle of happiness in my heart, however, it hot outer there.
I like the weather there in June - July because it is a bit cool, at night it may be a little chill!

Uganda to take Measures Against Obese Police officers

The Chief police officer in Uganda is very serious on the plan to shape his police officers so that they become more pysically fit after he noticed that there are some police officers who are extremely obese and cannot work properly when the fracas arises.

They will appear to chase their own tummies rather than the criminals!!
2 years ago, Mozambique did the same to the police forces where all obese policemen were told to reduce their weight otherwise, they would have to retire from work

Ni ukweli usiofichika kwa police mwenye kitambi kumkimbiza hata kibaka, ataishia kulikimbiza tumbo lake a.k.a. kitambi chake wakati mwizi akiyoyoma.

When it rains in Tanzania!

Most of the time when it rains..., many people take it as a blessing.
In Dar es Salaam, due to scarcity of clean tap water... at the time of downpour, many people collect water for domestic use and save water bills.
In another side.... due to poor road and wasterwater systems, when it rains, roads becomes the drainage channels Pedestrians are not spared.
In some places, when it rains, it creates temporary jobs.... new business starts.... carrying people across the water bodies for a pay averaging 20 cents of USD. Sometimes more depending on the area and how wealthy you are!! They look the way you have dressed and of course your body weight.
In rural......., it is a blessing for crops.....
But when come for transport network, it is a worst time for travelling in some areas
I came across this photos in Mitiki blog
Songea - Southern Tanzania

Manyara

Rukwa - Western Tanzania
Tanga - Northern Tanzania

Rwanda: Kupitisha Sheria Kuwabana Viongozi

Kuiga sio ugonjwa, Tanzania inapaswa kuiga mfano huu

2010 Might be an Interesting year!

Saturday,.... I was rushing to buy some depleted stock in my house!
Just before I entered one the biggest supermarket in Kigali city, I met one the beggars who is familiar, may be I should say that he is familiar to me, ... It was very interesting to see him giving away gifts and money to children who were moving around either with their parents or caretakers.

Those who turned to be receivers, they appeared to be better dressed as compared with this gentle beggar.

I hope or I should say that this might be my prayer for this year regarding the poors... That they should stand and assume the role for them to be the givers as well, and work hard to earn their living rather than being donor dependants

Continue to enjoy the new year within the extended weekend.
