Last week I visited CCBRT hospital in Dar es Salaam at paediatric eye unit to see how they do visual assessment in children.
I was impressed by friendly environment for children in such a way ..... children's fear for being in hospital is simply thrown away right at the entrance door.
Photo below shows that the child do not enjoy only the painting........, but she is assessed on her colour vision, crude vision, activity and level of intelligence according to age.
There are 3 dedicated trained staff for visual assessment, refraction and low vision assessment in children.

Mdau huyo hapo juu alikuwa amegoma kuingia kwenye chumba hicho, lakini jicho lilipochungulia ndani, baaaasi, akawa mwenyeji kuliko wenyeji halisi.
